Welcome to my monthly magazine-esque entry of Forever Obsessed. A collection of thoughts, reviews, trends, and obsessions that took over my month.
First off…
THANK YOU FOR 100 SUBSCRIBERS!!! LIKE WHAT?!
The fact that 100 people signed up to read my shit means everything to me. I know reading is a lot, so I appreciate every email opened, every read, every like, and every comment. I’m building this brick by brick. Finding new (and many) ways to be vulnerable online is crazy. I’m amazed that I’m forreal dropping my thoughts on the internet, but here we are! This is practice because, hopefully, I will publish a book one day.
One month, I will be more on time. But before I know it, the month ends, and I’m just trying to keep up. November was filled with a bunch of fun adventures, a lot of things for the first time, and many unexpected moments. I went to Carbone for the first time, tried some new places in the city and did plenty out of my comfort zone.
Dating was at the forefront this month…
Now, this really wasn’t the plan, and actually, I just put my one dating app on pause because I genuinely feel like my husband is not on a dating app (more thoughts on this to come). I didn’t expect to frolic outside as much as I did, but I’ve learned that there is way more motion outside than doom swiping left and right. Being outside had me entertaining the boys, and while it was fun…when you know it’s only fun, it needs a pause every once in a while. If you haven’t met the character Dill Pickle, please catch up. I’ll definitely be wrapping up this saga soon.
Why did I do this?…
Who told me to get a part-time job?! Seasonal?! The busiest time of the year?! Again?! I have yet again girl bossed too close to the sun. I wish the Capricorn in me would be silenced sometimes because 75% of my thoughts are, “How can I get this money by tomorrow?” I decided to apply for a seasonal job at Coach, and while the discount is immaculate, TT has been exhausted. I underestimated the standing and the work that goes into talking to people all got damn day. Do I like it? Short answer: yes. It gives me a new storyline and a new life to live. In my head, I was like, maybe my man would walk into the mall the weekend before Christmas rushing to get his mama a new bag, and he saw me and stopped in his tracks. He’s enamored by my beauty and my humor, he buys stuff from me, then asks me what I want out of the store, buys it and tells me how I shouldn’t be working in here. Then he rescues me from the workforce, and it’s love at first sight. One thing I have is a storyline in my head…and we still have a couple more weekends until Christmas, so I still have time.
(Side note: I did meet a man; we exchanged numbers, but there wasn’t a follow-up, so he wasn’t one. So the plan is actually working as I thought, though.)
I’m just proud it lasted longer than my last seasonal job…
Living creatively…
My therapist challenged me with homework to try to live my life creatively because that was my goal. So her recommendation was to take me on a solo date to write and get inspired, and to my surprise, writing outside of your house is a 10/10. I decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants, Fogo de Chao, to try their happy hour. Their happy hour menu is different from their full-course experience, so it was on my list to try. It was great. I went out to write my Dill Pickle story, and I think now it is my most read piece.
When I think about it, I felt so mysterious being at the bar writing. I enjoyed it and want to add writing outside my house to my weekly routine.
Be Obsessed.

Here’s what you can catch up on from me this month…
I launched my first card, and it’s a pack! They’re trendy holiday cards that just popped into my head recently. I was so excited to work on that project! Growing up, I’ve always been inspired by Mahogany cards and wanted to make my own. If you want to support, please get yours here.
I started my #Almost30 series, which discusses my thoughts, scaries, and worries as my birthday approaches on Instagram and TikTok.
Journaling is my love language, and I plan on discussing it more, so I'm incorporating prompts for you from now on! Answer it in the comments, and let’s chat, or let me know if you will journal about it privately. :)
I’m doing a daily journal challenge on TikTok! So follow me there for daily journal prompts for December.
